The first years are magical, filled with promise and potential. There will be first steps, first teeth and first tears. Amid the excitement will be twinges of anxiety. But that's okay.
Your little one give you lots to think about. Take safety for example. Everything from car seats to cribs requires careful consideration. In fact, by the time your child is crawling, your house will resemble one giant childproof playground. There will be safety latches on kitchen cabinets to keep prying hands out and a safety gate blocking the top stair to keep baby from taking a tumble.
Of course, it's impossible to be completely prepared for everything your baby will experience. Just remember: These experiences are opportunities for you to praise, encourage, teach and model. This is your time to create a bond with your child that will outlast rebellion and separation.
Over time, your challenges will change. So, too, will the needs of your child:
* Wait! Before You Begin Toilet Training...
* Marketing to Your Toddler
* Virus Versus Bacteria: Is an Antibiotic Necessary?
* Accessing the System for Children, Infants and Toddlers with Developmental Delays

What is parenting?
Today, the whole world is discussing the topic “PARENTING” and each person is putting forward his or her ideas. Actually, parenting is to raise a child and also educate him or her in the best possible manner. The aim of parenting is thus to create socially responsible, productive individuals who make not only his or her parents proud but also the society proud as well with his/her endeavors. Through parenting a child receives education, which is totally different from the education that a child receives at school. A parent tries to develop various social qualities in the child whereas a school educates the child scientifically and in a routine manner focusing generally on his or her intellectual development. Through parenting, a person also fulfills his or her parental duties. The basic parental duty that a person has to fulfill is to provide the child or children with social development and security. It is the duty of the parents to see that their child or children are emotionally, intellectually and physically secure in the society. At the same time it is the duty of the parents to make n individual fit to face the world when left on his own. It is the child’s mother or sometimes father who undertakes the work of parenting. In some cases, this care is also provided by some relatives. For orphans, the orphanages provide this care. If the need arises, the state has the right to usurp the parent’s or legal guardian’s right and give the right to a reliable home or institution.
